Daunte Wright, another innocent black man who is father of a two-year-old, was fatally shot!

Why?! What can we do now?

The world occasionally witnesses white supremacy and racial acts in the US, and naturally these racial acts are against people of color, especially black people.

Once again police fatally shot a black man during a traffic stop in the Minnesota city of Brooklyn Center, just outside of Minneapolis.

He was stopped by police on Sunday — about 10 miles from where George Floyd died during an arrest in Minneapolis last year — then got back into his car and drove away before it crashed, and Daunte Wright died at the scene.

Daunte Wright and George Floyd are some of the black Americans killed by police officers these years.

The question is that when will this racism and police brutality end?! That is ridiculous. Why another innocent black man who is a father of a two-year-old should be murdered by police?!

Anyway, crowds of protesters gathered after the most recent incident. Hundreds of people, some visibly upset and one carrying a sign, confronted police in riot gear on Sunday night, hours after the shot.

But it seems that no serious action is taken to combat such racial acts and white privilege, unless we take action against these racial acts ourselves!

How?! By protesting, by saying his name, by saying their names. Today, what matters to us is not to forget him and the countless other Black lives that have been so needlessly taken from us.

What we must do is to continue to demand accountability, and take action against these tragic injustices. As Martin Luther King said: “Our lives begin to end the day we remain silent about the things that matter.” So let’s fight to achieve our rights.

To conclude, I would like to say that today as we remember the life of Daunte Wright we are reminded that the fight for justice, equal protection under the law, and accountability is far from over.
